The client came in with the theme "Unruly Witnesses" and a clear direction: avoid the soft, pink, decorative look typical of Women's History Month design.
I answered that by making the flowers do the opposite job. Set on a stark black background in bold red, cream, and deep green, the flowers bloom with eyes at their centers — watching, tearing up, and refusing to look away. They're floral, but they're defiant and a little unsettling, not pretty. A strong serif headline carries that same tone.
Set against that artwork, the footer is kept clean and structured, organizing ten campus co-sponsors, free admission and accessibility information, and a QR code to the full event schedule so everything stays clear and scannable in print.

I created this fun and colorful poster in Illustrator to showcase some of the most popular Filipino street foods. I used bright colors inspired by the Philippine flag and added the iconic sun and three stars to give it that patriotic vibe. The typeface I chose feels familiar—like something you’d see on old Filipino books—which adds a nice touch of nostalgia. It’s a piece that celebrates food, culture, and Filipino pride all in one.
